The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
